Hair and makeup: 3 new brands to check out in New York

The main subject here on the blog is New York – but I always give a way to combine this passion with my other passion: beauty. I think you’ve already realized, right? And, beyond the classic, famous and well-known brands, it is always good to keep an eye on names in the market . Here in the United States, there is a wide choices of brands in all segments of beauty and today I’ll talk about three new brands that you should keep an eye on when you come to the city!

Milk Makeup – launched by the creative collective Milk Studios, Milk Makeup is a line for empowered, ambitious, entrepreneurial girls that need on-the-go, multi-benefit essentials that give her the freedom to change her look from day to night in five minutes – with no brushes. Everythinh is meant to be applied with fingers. The packaging is modern, unissex and unbreakable. The formula is the most possible natural and the prices are fair: 85 items from $10 to $38. Besides the makeup items like mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadows and blushes – everything with great pigmentations – there are also skincare products, like cleanser and mask. Do you want another reason to keep an eye on Milk Makeup? The brand is launching a nail spray this month!

Eva Nyc – I saw this brand for the first time on Generation Beauty last year, and I was already delighted because the packaging! The brand has been on the market for only three years. Based in Brooklyn, it offers amazing hair care products. Eva NYC offer professional products inspired by trends with formulas based on ingredients that keep hair strong and healthy – Argan oil is one of them. Furthermore, the fragrance is overwhelming. All products are available at affordable prices – and they really work. I love the shampoo and conditioner, the mask, oil, dry shampoo… I’ve had the opportunity to try some products and I’ve always loved it! Prices are from $6 to $20.

Velvet 59 – this vegan, cruelty-free, paraben and gluten free was created by Paris Manning, raised by makeup industry veterans. She is from Brighton, England, and now she resides in upstate New York where she has tirelessly researched and refined a revolutionary approach to maximizing long-wear and pigment while minimizing her footprint on the planet. Velvet 59 is the mix from her visionary approach to marrying modern ideals with vintage glamour. The makeup line includes matte liquid lipsticks, creamy lipsticks, mascara, contour palette and eyeshadow palette. Besides the amazing colors, the packaging is super cute. Prices from $18 to $45.
