Cheap makeup in New York City: Absolute New York store

Let’s talk about cheap makeup? I know makeup items are on the shopping list of 95% of women traveling to New York – and if the products have a good price, better yet, right? Here on the blog – and also in my NYC Beauty app – you will find several tips from cheap shops to buy makeup and today’s tip is a brand that opened a location in New York just over a month ago: Absolute New York – a brand that, as the name suggests, is from here and stands out for the mix of products and price.

I met Absolute New York at a beauty fair that happens here every year – IBS – International Beauty Show. Believe it or not, the two times I was at the event, I went to the brand’s booth to check out the products and participated in the giveaways they were promoting, and both times I won, and I got a box stuffed with products. That’s how I came to know more about the brand, which is sold in places like CVS and Walgreens.

I would say Absolute is on the same level as Nyx and e.l.f. cosmetics, talking about prices. The mix of products, as you can see from the photos, is huge. There are an immense variety of lipsticks and glosses, besides eyeshadows and palettes, eyeliners, eyelash masks, products for eyebrows, primer, contour and highlighting items, etc. In addition, Absolute New York also has a collection of brushes and other accessories, such as makeup sponges. Add to that the skincare line, inspired by Korean beauty routine.

Best of all are the prices: make-up products cost from $3.99 (lipstick) and go up to $24.99 (palette with more than 30 colors of eyeshadows). The products are cruelty-free. The store is located in Herald Square, close to Macy’s, and is gigantic. In addition, all products have testers and there are countertops with mirrors for you to try out the products. Above, I highlight some products that are worth your attention but I recommend, shot, the eyeliner. Besides having a wonderful pigmentation, there are options with the most diverse sizes of lines. They were the eyeliners I used the most last year.
