Restaurants for before or after a Broadway show

Attending a Broadway musical or play is among the experiences to have when you travel to New York – and also when you live here, right? Lasting at least two hours, this type of program requires advance programming. Where to dine before or after the show? So you don’t get lost – and also don’t depend on the Times Square chain restaurants (we’ve talked about that, right?), here’s a list of suggestions for all tastes!

The view –This is a restaurant that sits on the 47th floor of the New York Marriott Marquis, in the heart of Times Square, and it is a revolving restaurant. From Monday to Saturday, The View opens from 5:30 p.m. to dinner, with a fixed price menu from $89, including starter, main course, and dessert. You can click here to check the options available on the menu. Another thing worth mentioning is the Lounge, which is on the next floor, 48th and is a bar. If your idea is to enjoy the view, it may be a good option. The Lounge requires a minimum of one drink per person and from 8 pm they charge a fee of $8 per person.

Address: 1535 Broadway.

Ruth’s Chris Steak HouseI know that a lot of you like to include a steak house when you are in the city, so, why not to do this before or after a Broadway show? Some weeks ago, we were at Ruth’s Chris, a super traditional and famous Steak House here in the US. In NYC, they are conveniently located in Midtown. We were impressed with the environment, the staff, and, of course, the food! Everything is perfectly delicious. I want to highlight the Truffled Crusted Filet, it was so tender, so juicy! The meat’s menu includes a lot of options, but they also serve fish and chicken.

Address 148 W 51st St.

Los Tacos No. 1 – This taqueria is famous at Chelsea Market, but has a very busy location in Times Square. To give you an idea, it’s considered one of the best tacos in NYC. This is a great choice for those who want something faster and without formalities. The price of tacos is in the range of $ 3 to $ 4 and there are several options of fillings.

Address: 229 W 43rd St

If you’re not into the Japanese barbecue experience – which costs around $65 per couple – there’s an a la carte menu with noodles for $9, Ramen $9, and a variety of appetizers (salad, tacos, and dumplings) from $ 4. I recommend making a reservation! Oh, and the evening happy hour is from Monday to Thursday, from 9.30 pm to 11 pm.

Address: 321 W. 44th St. Unit 103

Haswelll Greens –For those who want something like a pub-style, it is worth going to this place, which has live music every night (check the schedule here). The menu is American food and has a variety of appetizers ($15 on average) plus sandwiches, pizzas (wood fire) and burgers ($ 15 to $ 20).

Address: 240 West 52nd Street.
