Eating in New York City: check out what you need to try

New York City delights list only increases! Speaking of food, New York is a full plate, literally! In addition to the wide variety of restaurants with cuisines from around the world, there are some special treats, which became traditional in the city. I’ve done two other posts in this style here on the blog – you can check out part 1 here and part 2 here – and today I present you part 3, with 7 more delights to try during your stay in New York.

Chocolate pizza, Max Brenner – Max Brenner is a already a touristic place, but it deserves your visit anyway because it is a chocolate’s paradise! The menu includes salty plates too, but the place is famous  because of the amount of chocolate-based delights: desserts, fondue, drinks… Chocolate pizza is delicious and best of all is that you do not have to get a table to try this it, because it is available to go.

Waffles & Dinges – once in New York City, you can miss a waffle from Wafels & Dinges. The brand is famous here and the recipe is irresistible: warm waffle with crunchy crust on the outside and soft inside – and toppings that include flavors like Nutella, chocolate, dulce de leche and even salty as chilli and pork BBQ. Values range from $6 to $9 and Wafels & Dinges works in food trucks in the city.

Nutelasagna – launched last year, Nutelasagna (lasagna with Nutela) is a Robicelli’s Bakery creation . The place attracts so many curious people that event the neighborhood is impressed with the lines.  The trick is to go early because it ends soon. You can also order online through the website! And, once you are there, try the cupcakes too.

Banana Nutela Cake – with banana base, Nutella filling and frosting cover, this cake from Alice’s Tea Cup is for eating praying! The slice is very generous – you can share with someone – and it’s great to be enjoyed with coffee or tea.

Artichoke Pizza – this pizza is not only delicious but is also one of the most famous of the city. Artichoke Basille’s Pizza serves mega generous slices for $4 to  $5. Flavors include MeatBall, Sicilian, margherita, pepperoni and of course Artichoke, which is the most classic of the place – you must try it this one! Delicious, creamy topping and dough that does not remember those slices of $ 1!

Cookies – Levain Bakery cookies are known for being the best of New York. The most famous flavor has chocolate – a lot of chocolate – and walnuts in a generous format, served still warm. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. There are also flavors like Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, Oatmeal and Dark Chocolate. Each cookie costs $ 4.

Hot Frozen Chocolate – Frozen Hot Chocolate, in family size, generous, is the attraction of Serendipity, e restaurant with super cut decor, that has been featured in a same name movie and is frequented by celebrities. The delicacy is good to be shared, and resembles a milk shake. The site also serves salty foods.
