Beautiful view and varied menu: Industry Kitchen in New York

Some weeks ago, on that hot weekend of extreme temperatures, we have been at Industry Kitchen. It was late afternoon, we took the Water Taxi to Ikea to take some pictures – you can check out this post here. Departing from Pier 11, we decided to spend our time in the area and walked to South Street Seaport – I’ve written about the region on this post here – and I remembered about Industry Kitchen, which is in the same area. Its location, right on the edge of the East River, is already a reason to choose the restaurant.

The 5,000 square-foot venue accommodates up to 300 guests with indoor and outdoor seating, allowing unobstructed views of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges and Brooklyn Skyline. We choose to sit outside, to enjoy the river view. The place was super excited with a very nice atmosphere! It was great to sit there and enjoy the evening. The view is really beautiful!

The menu is focused modern American cuisine. There are options such as salads (from $10), entrées with chicken, steak and salmon (average of $21 to $26) and pizzas. The pizzas are wood fired and the flavors include Marguerita, mushrooms and smoked salmon. I would say that a pizza quietly serve two people. Prices range from $ 14 to $ 20, depending on the flavor. There are still some choices of pasta and also desserts. It’s a pretty full menu that pleases the most different tastes. In the drinks menu, there are cocktails ($ 12), wine ($ 12) and a neat selection of craft beers ($ 8). When we were there, Olympic Games were happening in Brazil and there was a special menu. We chose a polenta and a pizza (which had avocado and pineapple – is not typical in Brazil, but then I realized it was more because of the color of the ingredients). The pizza is very tasty, thin crust and, as I mentioned earlier, it serves quietly two people .

Industry Kitchen opens every day, from 11 am to 10 pm and the place serves brunch on weekends. On the website, you can check out more information and also the complete menus.
