Hello you, technology lover! Are you looking for cool spots to feed your passion during your stay in New York? Well, today’s post will be perfect for you. I do not remember exactly how I found out about Sony Square – it’s always like that, in reality, I almost never remember how my discoveries happen lol. I searched for it and saw that it was a space for promoting Sony products. I tried to immediately include it on my list and check it closely so I could tell you.

Sony Square NYC is a showplace for the latest in Sony entertainment and technology, and throughout the year Sony brings in new, exciting, interactive exhibits allowing you to play with a variety of technology and try something new each time you visit. The space changes every six weeks – so, it is possible that you will not find the same things that I saw, but, at least, you will get an idea of what to expect.

My visit began by contemplating a movie screen, and the idea was to experience Sony’s sound technology. In addition, the venue also featured cameras, lenses, smartphones and of course the famous PlayStation. You can test everything and play a little. There was also a virtual reality device and I also took the opportunity to try on. I went to the bottom of the sea and saw turtles and even a shark – and it was real! lol

Remember: Sony Square is not a store. You can not buy products there. The idea is to really promote products and give people the opportunity to get to know and test everything up close. On the website, you can keep track of the current exhibitions. In addition, Sony Square also hosts free events – and you can check the calendar online as well. Overall, the place is not huge, but since it is in a central and easily accessible area, Flatiron, it can be an excellent program for those who enjoy technology.

Address: 25 Madison Avenue – open every day, from 11 am to 7 pm (it closes 6pm on Sundays).
