Beauty editors drugstores favorites – part 1

Even if you are a crazy Sephora fan, your trip to New York will not be the same without visiting a drugstore. It is a real cosmetics paradise, with affordable and good quality items. Probably, you will not resist and you will leave the place with at least one lip balm.  And with so many product options, how to choose which is best? At these times, nothing more practical than reading opinions from people that understand the subject. And the beauty editors are reference in this regard. Names working in American magazines and websites such as Teen Vogue and Marie Claire told the website The Coveteur their favorite items from drugstores. I found the topic interesting and decided to compile the tips here.
For Jean Godfrey, Lucky Magazine editor, drugstores cosmetics are often higher than other expensive and famous brands. Among her favorites is the moisturizer Skin Food, Weleda. It has a formula with several essential oils that treat dry skin. She also says that she loves bath oils and Lemon Body Oil, Burt’s Bees, is energizing. For hair, her favorite is Secret Weapon Touch-on Crème, John Frieda, good for  frizz. For makeup, she likes Butterfly Mascara, L’Oreal’s, that gives volume, and Insta-Dry, Sally Hansen, a nail polish that dries in 60 seconds.
Elaine Welteroth, Teen Vogue, selects two products: one is Positively Radiant Moisturizer SPF 30, from Aveeno. It is a versatile moisturizer, that it can be used during winter and summer, and keeps the skin balance – with sunscreen! Her other winner Lip Balm Burt’s Bees, whose formula restores lips like no other. For Phillip Picard, from Refinery 29, two favorite items are PhotoReady Skinlight, Revlon, and Hydra Boost Gel-Cream, Neutrogena. The first is an highlighter, with a thin film of brightness and available in three colors. Phillip says that this product is good because you can use it in many ways: mixed with foundation, with shadow, with cream or powder products such as blush, like a shadow … The second is a moisturizing with gel and hyaluronic acid formula, which is not heavy and it can be used before make.
Anne-Marie Guarnieri, from Xovain, choose Dry-touch Sunblock, Neutrogena. This sunscreen SPF 30
Para Anne-Marie Guarnieri, do site Xovain, a escolha ficou com o Dry-touch Sunblock, da Neutrogena. The sunscreen SPF 30 absorbs quickly, it is water resistant, has no greasy formula and does not weigh on the skin.
Liquid soap Rainbath, Neutrogena, is one of Erin Flaherty, from Marie Claire, favorites, because it has a fresh formula and modern scent. With a lot of self tanning options, she says that Com Natural Glow, Jergens, is the best. And she also loves Miracle Gel, Sally Hansen. This nail polish lasts as much as one used in salons and it is easy to be removed.
To finish, we have Victoria Kirby, from Redbook, choices. For her, brands like L’oréal and CoverGirl have the best technology for lashes mascaras. One of her favorites is Inclusive uma de suas Lash Blast Length, CoverGirl, that she wears every day. Formula provides defined lashes and it has a strong black color. For skin, she guarantees to be addicted to Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream, Burt’s Bees. It is a moisturizer for sensitive skin, 99% natural formula with cotton extract.  She also loves Deep Moisture Body Wash, Dove, as a solution for fry skin, even in a strong winter.
